The Problem

The Plastic guys company produces Minus design panels from recycled plastic. To gain a global competitive advantage, they required the supply of manufacturing technology capable of producing the largest format panels in the world. At the same time, they needed to ensure high surface quality of the panels, repeatability of production, user-friendliness and safety with good ergonomics for the operator.

Solution

Our solution is a production line designed to meet the customer's needs, enabling the production of the largest recycled plastic panels in the world. The ability to set parameters for different types of products via a central touch screen ensures high product quality and user-friendliness. The line control and design processing allow crisis control in case of emergency. A unique material lay-up system ensures constant plate thickness. The line meets high safety standards thanks to safety sensors, enclosures and fencing. The line is equipped with a SEMA smart label for easy access to all manuals, video instructions, certificates and contacts.

SEMA designed and assembled for us production line designed for the production of recycled plastic sheets. Throughout the project, we have greatly appreciated their professional approach, especially in the area of communication and transparent information sharing about the production process of the line. 
From my position, where I was mainly responsible for the administrative and financial part of the project, I consider the key advantage to be the ease of availability and clarity of all necessary information. Whether it was accounting and contractual documentation, which is essential for such a large-scale contract, or technical documents, manuals and instructions for operating the line. 
We are also very positive about modern and practical solution for operator training - manuals and instructions are available not only in the classic form, but also interactively directly on the production line via an NFC reader, which significantly facilitates daily operation and reduces the risk of errors.

Martin and Tom from SEMA supplied us with a production line for the largest recycled plastic plates in the world - design panels Minus. What I appreciate about the work and approach of the SEMA team is that they didn't shy away from our 'we want the biggest record in the world, whatever it takes' approach and just delivered. Now we're just figuring out where we're going to store the giant records. The technical processing was at a high level and most importantly professional calm and insight, that made even the biggest challenges seem solvable. To successfully complete the project, an incredible Flexibility and patience with our design ideas. We are completely satisfied with the result and are already dreading what we will want them to build for us next. 
The guys are young and they use the latest technologies in communication and business. This approach has won us over and as peers we look forward to working together for life.
