Optimisation of conveyor guides
The conveyor line for 3 different product sizes requires frequent readjustment of the side and top guides according to the size of the product to be conveyed. Re-adjusting the guides attached to the set screws was tedious and the adjustment inaccurate, which could cause damage to the product.
Optimization of the conveyor line guide attachment, which, thanks to the POKA YOKE attachment, allows precise, fast and repeatable adjustment for the given size of the conveyed product without the need for tools - the adjustment can be carried out directly by the operator. The solution meets the hygiene (FCM) standards according to European directives.
By installing the new guides from SEMA DesignING we have succeeded in simplify line conversion among the products. Now the conversion is tool-less and can be done directly by the operator. The solution is Poka yoke and guarantees repeatable settings without the need for "doseřízení". The total time of product change on the conveyor in the packaging part of the line is shortened by 75 %.
What I particularly appreciate about the work and approach of the SEMA team is Flexibility a fast response when changes are needed during the development and design of the solution. A great advantage was personal approachwhen the focus of the device and consulting solutions was carried out by a SEMA engineer on site.
