Optimisation of conveyor belt tensioning
Due to sanitation, frequent replacement of belts from conveyor belts is required. The time for replacing belts with the original tensioning system using set screws was too long, the repeatability of tensioning was inaccurate.
We have replaced the original set screw tensioning system with a modern lever mechanism. By simply turning the lever, the roller is moved and the belt released, and by returning it to its original position, it is tensioned again. Belt change is now significantly faster, no lengthy adjustments, no tools required, and the belt tension is constant. The solution meets the hygiene (FCM) standards according to European directives.
During the development of the new quick release passports on stepper conveyors, we are most appreciated the opportunity to consult over 3D designs.
SEMA has prepared several solutions and we were able to go through them and choose the best one for us. The modifications made to the conveyors are in sanitary design and fully meets safety requirements our company.
