Why did we start the business? The story of SEMA from the beginning

The question "Why did you start your business in the first place?" is one of the ones we hear most often at SEMA. The answer isn't about a big break or a brilliant idea on a napkin. It was a process - a gradual realization that things in manufacturing companies can work more simply, more clearly, and without unnecessary chaos.

Beginnings without a big plan

When the founders of SEMA - Martin Piruch and Tomáš Sembol - thought about their own path, it was neither a sudden decision nor a detailed business model. Rather, it was a gradual realisation that many things can be done better in manufacturing companies:

  • without any unnecessary paperwork,

  • with more clarity,

  • easier for people and management.

From idea to company

From an initial idea, it has grown into a company that today helps dozens of manufacturers streamline processes - from machine design to complete production optimization.

What Martin Piruch says

In a short video, Martin Piruch, one of the founders of SEMA, shares how he perceives the very beginning of the business: that it was more about the evolution of thought rather than a one-off move.
