Automation as the answer to the shortage of workers in manufacturing

Manufacturing executives today are dealing with the same problem: a shortage of people. Demographics show a clear trend of worker attrition, and there will be no one to do the manual labor in the future. Therefore, the solution is not to look for additional manpower, but to gradually transfer activities to machines, systems and automation.

A problem that affects everyone

Every second manufacturing executive today says: "We can't get people."
It's not just a question of recruitment or remuneration. The demographic trend is clear - the industry's workforce is shrinking and this trend is set to intensify.

Why automation is not about replacing humans

Automation is often seen as a threat to jobs. The reality is the opposite:

  • the goal is not to replace people, but to ensure that production can function at all,

  • the work previously done by shift operators must be moved to machines and systems,

  • without this step, it will simply not be who to give the job to.

Evolution, not revolution

Every step towards automation means:

  • less pressure to recruit,

  • higher production stability,

  • better return on investment even with fewer workers.

Automation is the natural evolution of production. Not a revolution, but Evolutionthat enables companies to remain competitive in a labour-scarce environment.
